You Might go Through a Transition Period

If you have been using conventional shampoo for years then your hair will be used to it stripping the hair and scalp of it’s natural oils.

So when you switch to natural hair care for a period of 0 – 21 days your hair could feel more oily and heavier.  This is due to the hair adjusting to not having to over produce oil to compensate for it being regularly stripped of its natural oils.

What are the noticeable differences when switching to natural hair care

There is one noticeable difference you can see when beginning to use our pink grapefruit natural shampoo.

Is that it will not produce as much lather and foam as a conventional shampoo.

This is due to the absence of synthetic chemical foaming agents. It is recommended that you wash your hair twice when using a natural shampoo. As the second wash will produce slightly more lather. This is because there is less buildup – dirt, oil, dry skin – to eliminate in the second wash. Also, when the strands hold more water in the second wash. It increases the shampoo’s ability to produce more lather.
