UK DELIVERY

At Laura Thomas Co we aim to dispatch all online orders within 48 hours from receiving the order confirmation. For delivery + returns policies, and procedures see below.

In the unusual event that this is not possible, a member of our team will notify via email (to the email given at checkout) in order to inform you of the situation.

All parcels will be shipped in recyclable boxes or bags and use a compostable corn starch void filling. The eco chips used in our packaging can be composted or placed in garden waste disposal.  We may at times re-use non-recyclable void filling or repurposed boxes in order to reduce waste. We ask that wherever possible you repurpose these items again or dispose of them responsibly.

All LTCO parcels are shipped via tracked service, and where possible will be delivered on a next day service.

There is a flat rate charge for all DHL classified UK Mainland postcodes of £6 with free shipping to orders over £70.

UK orders outwith mainland defined postcodes

For orders classified as Scotland Highlands and Islands there is a flat fee of £8 over 2kg and orders to these postcodes will receive free shipping over £100. There is a flat fee of £6 for orders under 2kg – these will be shipped via Royal Mail tracked service.

There is a charge of £10 for delivery to Ireland on parcels over 2kg, with free shipping offered on orders over £100. There is a flat fee of £6 for orders under 2kg – these will be shipped via Royal Mail tracked service.

Orders over 2kg to the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland will be charged a flat fee of £12 with orders free over £120. There is a flat fee of £6 for orders under 2kg – these will be shipped via Royal Mail tracked service.

local pickup 

Local pickup is available to those who wish to collect from the Laura Thomas Co North Berwick Store within a 14 day time frame.

There is a flat fee of £2.50 for local pick up. If your order is over £70 and you wish to collect please email us at orders@laura-thomas.com

You will be emailed when your order is ready to collect (usually within 3-5 working days). Please bring a copy of your order confirmation with you.

We will hold your order for 14 days. If you do not collect within this time frame we will return your order to our workshop and refund your items. We are unable to refund you your £2.50 local pick up charge.

If you accidentally select local pick up at the checkout however you then realise you would like it shipped you must let us know within 2 hours of the order being placed. If you do not let us know within 2 hours you will be required to pay the full shipping charge on top of the £2.50 you have already paid for the pick up service. The same conditions apply to international customers who select local pick up but actually require their order to be shipped internationally. Please see the below information if you require an order to be shipped internationally.

For online orders with an international delivery address outside of the UK please email the team at orders@laura-thomas.com with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Delivery Address
  • Contact Information (email address and phone number)
  • Items wished to be purchased.

If it is possible for us to deliver to you, a member of our production team will be in touch with the expected delivery cost and name of courier.

International orders will be shipped with the most appropriate carrier possible.

Please note that international packages may be subject to customs, duties or other fees that are calculated by country. The customer is responsible for paying any and all customs duties and fees.

holidays + busy weekends

We ask that you please bear with us during traditional holiday periods and busy weekends such as ‘Black Friday’. It is possible that our dispatch times may lengthen during these periods.

The Laura Thomas Co Workshop near North Berwick will be closed as standard for two weeks over the Christmas period. Any orders placed over this time will be processed once the workshop opens up again. Please keep an eye on our website and/or social media throughout December to find out when we will be closing and opening.

DELIVERY POLICY

All delivery addresses must be given in full with a house name or number, street address and postcode.

Laura Thomas Co will endeavour to change a delivery address if changes are needed after an order has been placed. Laura Thomas Co will not take responsibility if an address is given incorrect or not in full by a client and is then not received. Nor if special delivery information is not given at the time of ordering and thus the courier is unable to access the delivery location.

returns policy

We hope you love our products as much as we do but if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase and would like to return the product for a refund, please email us at info@laura-thomas.com

You can make a return if your product is damaged, there is a fault or simply if you have changed your mind. However please bear in mind the following terms;

  • SALE items cannot be returned.
  • If an item is bought at full price and it arrives damaged/broken we will send a replacement.
  • An unopened and unused item can be refunded or replaced within 30 days of the date of purchase. Proof of purchase will be required.
  • If you are returning an item, we are unable to refund you the shipping that you may have initially paid.
  • As a small business we are unable to refund your return shipping. However, you are more than welcome to drop it into our North Berwick store with a clear explanation as to why the item is being returned.
  • Refunds can take up to 10 working days to appear in your account.
