Our Rose Bath Oil and Rose Bath Salts have been created to allow for deep self indulgence and relaxation. It’s very excited to finally launch two products we have been working on for the past few months.
What what is the inspiration behind our Rose Range?
Creative director Laura has always been a fan of Rose oil. During the birth of her second daughter she used pure rose oil massage balm from a company called Scully’s in New Zealand as pain relief and it was a great help. The natural birth was an experience and a half and every time she smells a particular rose essential oils it reminders her of the joy of seeing her little girl for the first time.
Did you know that Rose Essential Oil has so many benefits?
Here is why Rose is so special and why we think our new products are so special…
Its deeply moisturising (especially as a rose bath oil)
Rose oil contains high levels of vitamin c and vitamin a, rich in oils and proteins that keep skin soft and moisturised.
Its antibacterial, anti fungal properties
Researchers have found that essential oil distilled from roses can be effective against a wide range of microbes that cause infections. This includes E. coli, as well as some strains of the bacteria that can cause staph infections (Staphylococcus) and strep throat (Streptococcus).
Additionally, the study found that rose oil was effective against Candida albicans, which can cause fungal infections in the mouth, gut, and vagina.
It eases pain
Studies have shown that when rose oil is inhaled it eases pain significantly. This is due to the release of feel-good hormones. Ever felt great after smelling a real rose? Now you know why!
Eases depressive symptoms
Rose oil helps to improve the symptoms of depression. In a 2012 study, a small group of postpartum women underwent treatment for depression. One group received aromatherapy in addition to conventional medical treatments. The women who used aromatherapy improved significantly more than women who used conventional medicine alone. Isn’t that amazing?! Studies have also found that rose oil stimulates the release of the chemical dopamine. Researchers believe this chemical plays a pivotal role in helping to relieve the symptoms of depression.
Increases Passion
Rose oil has been know to increase sexual desire! It’s back to the smell of it that releases dopamine and arouses men as well as women!
Relief from menstrual discomfort
Massaging Rose oil in a carrier oil on the lower stomach can help ease pain and cramping when it’s that time of the month.
Anti ageing Properties
Besides being filled with antioxidants, rose oil is also packed with vitamin A and C, which can help with ageing skins. Apart from smoothing the appearance of wrinkles, these vitamins help to reduce the look of age spots on the skin and aid with collagen production.
