It was a dream back in 2014 when I was trying to get LTCO off the ground that one day there would be a retail store in North Berwick, where it was possible for people to come in and smell and see all our products in the flesh. Last Monday that dream became a reality.
We took over the lease of a small shop on North Berwick’s High Street in November 2021. It was run it as a Pop-up until Christmas Eve. The shop then closed and a proper refit was undertaken. This included all rewiring the space, installing fire safety, hot water and heating as well as new lights and shelving designed and supplied to us by interior design company, Moleta Munro.
The refit took 10 weeks and wasn’t without its issues! Tradesmen too busy, covid isolating and delays galore it was a juggle and ran a few weeks behind schedule. However we got there in the end!
Having a retail store in North Berwick will finally put LTCO on the map. It allows for us to talk to people about our products and why we do what we do. It’s great to be able to say to people that sustainability is and has been at the heart of LTCO since day one. It’s also great to spread the word about our incredible packaging. Made from paper using recycled coffee cups and reducing waste that is going into landfill, it’s something we are super proud of.
