The Inspiration Behind our Waffle

Sand Waffle Blanket; Waffle is a textile weave that is super cozy and great for use for all the family from Babies up to the Grandparents.  Our super-soft deep blanket is pure soft cotton and has so many uses.

We were inspired to get our suppliers to weave us a unique and very durable waffle blanket that could be used indoors or outdoors for this Spring and Summer.

After the year we have all had there is much fun to be had during the warmer months outdoors and we wanted to create a blanket that was multi-functional, cosy for the UK weather, stylish and easily washable.

How to Use our Sand Waffle Blanket

Designed to be multi-functional, our blanket has so many uses; use in the home as a cozy blanket, put on the end of your bed as a throw, use as a picnic blanket outdoors, beach rug, cozy outdoor blanket, and more.

More about Waffle Weaving

Waffle weave is made up of warp and weft floats of varying lengths arranged around a plain-weave center. When the fabric is taken off the loom and washed, these floats contract and form a texture that looks like a waffle. This weave structure is popular for towels, both because of its absorbency and appearance.

Waffle fabric is also known as honeycomb fabric, has raised threads that form small rectangles. It can be made by either weaving or knitting. Waffle weave is further exploitation of plain weave and twill weave which produces a three-dimensional effect.
