We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and smooth operations. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and an enthusiasm for sustainable and high-quality products.
A staged training programme will be put in place for the introduction to the production of all products, with the aim to become fully competent in producing all LTCO products and working production machinery within 6 months.
Production Assistant Responsibilities and Duties:
- Daily completion of online orders using our pick and pack system.
- Support packaging, labeling, and shipping of products.
- Operate production equipment during manufacturing process and perform quality checks on all products
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Finishing production by labelling and boxing products.
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all areas of production.
- Manage inventory and assist with stock control.
- Ensure all industry health and safety guidelines are met for all product lines.
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
- Continuous improvement of workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or quality.
- Maintain and clean an organised work space
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Production Assistant Qualifications, Skills and Must Haves:
- Planning and organisational skills to be able to effectively assist in all production operations.
- IT literacy. Ability to quickly grasp intricate inventory management systems. Full training will be given for our software.
- The ability to act decisively and solve problems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, senior management and customers.
- The ability to work in a logical, efficient and systematic manner.
- Happy to work as part of a team and take orders from others, as well as confidently work independently.
- Must have a strong work ethic to contribute to an already existing strong and dedicated work culture at LTCO .
- Able to lift moderate to heavy weights as needed, and to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse setting is a plus, but not a requirement.

Salary and Hours
Market rate.

This is an in-person role. Based at The Cart Shed, Kilduff Farm, By Athelstaneford, North Berwick, EH39 5BD.
