A typical Saturday starts with our little boy Ossie. He usually wakes up between 5.30am and 6.15am so Justin (who owns Edinburgh Furniture + Lighting brand Moleta Munro) and I sit in bed with him and have a Saturday morning cup of English Breakfast before getting up. We then get up make Os porridge while Olivia and Lilly (13 and 11) still snooze.

7.30am it’s time for 30 mins of yoga while Os naps and then we make some smoked salmon bagels and strong coffee. I have a Rocket coffee machine and can make café-style coffee which, on a sunny day, we sit at the bottom of the garden and enjoy in the sun. 

After Ossie wakes from his nap and the girls have risen we head out around 11am for a walk along Gullane beach which usually has people doing beach fit, running up the sand dunes and kite surfing. At 1pm we will have some cheese and salad for lunch and then potter in the garden or do some jobs around the house. I bought Gullane’s Old Doctors Surgery in 2016 and it has been a never ending renovation! 5pm is tea time for Ossie and the night routine of bath then a bottle and if by 7pm we are not cooking, we will treat ourselves to a takeaway from local Aberlady Indian, Grace of India, and crack open a bottle of New Zealand wine!

Saturday night is spent watching a movie and putting away all devices for some quality time. Bed by 11pm and usually the girls are still up. It’s late but that’s ok as its the weekend!
