Laura’s Towel Buying Tips

What should you look for in a bath towel? Laura tells me  ‘Good absorbency and drying power are key, it should dry you efficiently and dry out quickly after use; it should also be long lasting and wash well. Design is important too, you want it to look good in your bathroom.’

And apparently size does matter! In making your choice of bath towel anyway. Laura says ‘Aim for at least 70 x 130cm, so it will wrap comfortably around you after washing. Gsm (grams per square metre) is the scale used to measure towel quality and a handy comparison tool when shopping – the lower the number, the lighter the towel. Basic designs weigh in between 200 and 300gsm, while higher-end luxury choices range from 400 to 550gsm.’

Happy bathing!

Love, Kate x
