NEW LT SS2017 Collection part 1

It’s always so exciting to get delivery of new season stock. All the designing, organising, liasing with suppliers and signing off of samples comes to an end when there is a pallet full of new stock at the office door.

The next stage is getting it all photographed. It’s my favourite part of the new stock process, to style a shoot and work alongside Helen of Helen Pugh Photography. Always a giggle, I love working with Helen. I respect her enthusiasm, energy and creativity. Our shoots are hard work but very much a laugh. If we’re not shooting in the studio or on the beach we’re talking all things business and eating cake and she has become a lovely friend.

50 | 50 Linen Cotton Mix Bedding Sets

The LT 50 | 50 Linen Cotton mix bedding is now in colour! Yes, it’s the first colour to ever exist in the LT bedding collections. Inspired by on-trend colours, personal taste and simple living, the new pink and grey bedding is very much about comfort and sleeping well. I’m sure you’ll agreed is quite striking.

So why have a blend of two different fabric types? Well, I personally find pure linen bedding too scratchy on my skin. I don’t find it comfortable enough, not only that pure linen carries a whopping price tag.

Two years ago I went to visit my Portuguese suppliers just north of Porto, near the Spanish border. It was during that very interesting day on site that I came across this wonderful fabric. Pure linen mixed with the soft, silkiness of egyptian cotton. Both linen and egyptian cotton are very durable fabrics. So I felt very positively about the fact that this discovery would be great for LT clients, as I knew they would be purchasing a bedding that would last decades not years.

Herringbone Blankets

I first introduced these fantastic cotton blankets in my Autumn Winter17 collection. They have been hugely popular in Black and Blue, so I thought I’d add two more colours; Mint Green and Pink. They are an extra-large size of 2m x 2.4m and are medium weight and are 100% pure cotton. They look striking on either the end of a bed, slung over a sofa or are just perfect for snuggling under.
