Over 200 blogs nominated, 11,000 votes cast, 55 shortlister’s and 12 winners. After much anticipation the Amara Interior Blog Awards were held this Wednesday evening at the Rosewood Hotel, London and were truly glamorous. What a fantastic recognition into the hours and talent of the many interior bloggers around the world. The first of many annual events to come, they showed the power that blogging has in the world of media and promotion.
Being nominated for ‘Best Luxury Blog’ category was a true honour for me. I didn’t win my category. However attending was such a boost to life and the experience I had was an unforgettable one.
Invite arrived end of October.

An update during the night.
Nibbles flowed all night along with Prosecco and Cocktails. After the Awards, beautiful and delicious desert canapé’s were served.
During the night I met Karine Kong of Bodie and Fou who’s style I greatly admire as well as Christine Dovey of blog Bijou & Boheme (below), a Canadian Interior Designer and Blogger who flew in for the event. What a lovely person she is and a giggle to boot! Jeska Swan, winner of the Best Designed Blog Lobster and Swan was also a highlight to meet as we have conversed via email and twitter and I was honoured to have my latest organic bed linen featured recently on her beautiful blog.
So the winner’s were:
