LT’s Bedroom Secrets
If you follow the LTID blog and my instagram page you’ll see I recently painted my bedroom which was originally a Doctors Treatment room. When we moved in over two years ago (time flies..), the room was yellow with hideous floral curtains, a kitchenette in one corner with a large stainless steel sink. In the other corner was a book shelf that had been used to house leaflets which had been hilariously labelled for what they were, such as ‘Chlamydia’, Men’s Health, HIV amongst others. November and December are very busy months at LT and it’s wasn’t until I woke up one January morning dazed and overly tired I thought, I really must get rid of those awful labels!
Anyway fast forward two and half years and I’ve recently painted it Farrow and Ball’s ‘Ground Pink’. The nude coloured light pink, has really lifted the room from being a boring, drab space into a relaxed, bright room and has really made the white sleigh bed a feature of the room.
Before the big reveal there are a few things that still need to be done. Next up is a built in wardrobe. A joiner has been booked to start within the next week.
Interior Inspiration
So I’ve been researching some of my favourite interiors blogs and of course pinterest for some wardrobe design inspiration. When it comes to interiors knowing what you want is half the battle. After a bit of research, I’ve sketched a design plan to give to the joiner to copy.
The design that I was looking for would combine an amount of hanging space as well as a good amount of shelving. This property has very little storage space and so whatever I do I need to make sure I create storage space wherever possible.
Keep following the LTID blog for the big reveal and a sneak peak of my actual LT bedroom.
In the meantime, here is some inspiration that I found;
