Hanging Hooks

Guest Bedroom Under Way

The redecoration of my guest bedroom is moving forward.  I am very much looking forward to posting and sharing the before and after images once completed.  Last week I purchased a pair of William and Mary ladder back wooden chairs with rush seats and spiral twist legs.  One of them is for the corner of the guest bedroom.  After much researching on Google I’m yet to find out whether they are reproduction or the real deal.  I’m heading to Auckland soon and will take them to a wonderful Antique shop I frequent / can’t go past to see they can give me any details.  This style of chair was popular in England circa early seventeenth century.

White Hooks on Wall

The style of this room is going to be Scandinavian with an old world feel.  It will be minimalist yet homely, white yet warm.  I spent the weekend feeling sluggish and not in the mood to paint so I did some internet search for a hanging hook system I want to build.  The hooks I plan to fix on to a piece of timber, paint them the same white as the walls and hang along the total length of one wall.  Allowing guests to hang clothes and other items from them.  Above the rail I plan to attached a shelf where I can display items such as books, candles and ornaments.  I’ve seen this done in a hotel room in Stockholm and it looked great.
