I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself.
This week is jam packed and I just LOVE being busy. Some need a long run, game of squash, bottle of wine. Me? I need ten billion things going on at once to get that buzz on!
The blog will also be buzzing this week.
Wednesday I head to London for the 2015 Amara Interior Blog Awards. In the afternoon I’m meeting the utter gorgeous Fashion Designer Henrietta Ludgate in Notting Hill Gate for a fitting and will be wearing one of her seriously ‘cool’ dresses to the Awards Ceremony that evening.
After studying at Central Saint Martins, Henrietta began her career as a costume designer on programmes such as The Big Breakfast and The Jack
Docherty Show for Channel 4. She is inspired by the scenery that surrounds her Scottish Dingwall
home. From the ancient forests and the mists rising off Loch Ussie, near
Strathpeffer, to the futuristic colours of the Northern Lights and I feel very lucky indeed to wear one of her beautiful creations.
Henrietta debuted at London Fashion Week in 2009 and her brand been going from strength to strength. I love her philosophy behind her clothing. Not only are her designs inspired by nature, they are all made in the UK, using British created textiles.

The Awards event this year is being held at the uber glitzy Ham Yard Hotel in Soho. Hotelier and Interior Designer Kit Kemp (often referred to as the Queen of boutique hotels), co-owns the hotel with her husband. Her style is wildly eclectic and to say I’m a huge fan, is rather an understatement. Reading about her in Australian Vogue Living Magazine a few years ago, I’ve been rather stalker-ish on her ever since.
Here’s little video about the hotel. Kit’s advice;
“If you pick something that’s a little different, it will never be in fashion nor out of fashion.”
Genius.
By the way, I’m starting my renovation project on Friday..
Just in case you didn’t already know!?
