Product Description
Our herringbone blanket is made from 100% cotton. They are medium weight and soft to the touch. Since we introduced our Herringbone Blanket to the Laura Thomas Co collection, they have become a best seller. Also now an LT staple!
Designed for multiple uses. Put on a bed. Use as a cosy blanket on the sofa. Use as a throw over a chair or even a table-cloth, these herringbone blanket are very versatile.
We love putting them over the end of our beds as a decorative throw or as an extra layer of warmth, as the cooler nights draw in. Being that they are large blankets at 240 cm in length by 200 cm wide they will drap nicely over any size bed from double to emperor.
“We’re currently using one of these Herringbone Blankets as a cuddly throw on the sofa. One seems to wrap round my girls and I so all three of us can keep cosy while we enjoy our current movie nights” Laura, Creative Director.
So what is Herringbone?
Herringbone describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern usually found in twill fabric. It is distinguished from a plain inverted V pattern by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag.
The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.
At LT we deal directly with all suppliers / makers cutting out the middleman. This allows us to pass on good prices for top quality products.
