Our Sand Coastal Candle is inspired by time spent during simpler days laughing and relaxing by the seaside. The scent blend reflects and represents the natural scents of sea grasses, hot sand and salty air.

The Inspiration Behind the Scent of our Sand Coastal Candle

Breathing deeply in and out while standing on Gullane Beach one hot summer’s day, Laura thought about what she could smell at that moment. She could smell sea grasses in the air, the distinct buttery, caramel scent of warm sand and a citrusy scent in the air.

In the workshop Laura started to blend scents that reflected what she could smell on that afternoon on Gullane Beach, and the SAND candles within the Coastal range.

Our Coastal Candle range has been inspired by living by the coast. Scents that relates to our interpretation a four different elements or materials FIRE, WOOD, SAND and WAVE, used or enjoyed while living on the beach. Our Sand Coastal Candle is much loved and much praised for this scent.

WAVE perfectly blended with scents to refresh and uplift representing a chilly dip in the North Sea. WOOD a natural element with a distinctive and unique scent. Crafted to replicate the warming, calm feeling it’s earth scent gives. SAND the earthy, stoney scent of sand mixed with seagrasses. FIRE a delicate scent combination that wraps you in that primal feeling of comfort, worth and security. Replicating time spend around a campfire on the beach.
